Ever notice that maybe a couple of days after a good run that you seem to have spring in your step that wasn’t there before? You might even find yourself bounding up two steps at a time when yesterday it was a slog just to drag your sorry behind up a flight of stairs.
It’s like you get an invisible push and the sensation is certainly and absolutely a great physical feeling. It’s your last run paying off.
I’ve always thought that the shape you are in now, today, at the present is the result of a run you had 10 days ago. The payoff for today’s run will be in about a week and a half.
